About

Lindsay is licensed to provide counseling services in Colorado (LPC) and New York (LMHC) and brings to your table over a decade of experience in all levels of care (crisis, hospital, inpatient, outpatient, residential, private practice).  While Lindsay has a sub-specialty in substance use disorders, she has worked with a variety of populations seeking mental health care including kiddos, adolescents, college students, adults, and those facing end-of-life concerns.  She has training and experience in using CBT, DBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (tapping), EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused skills.  However, Lindsay firmly believes that you are the expert in your own life and so brings curiosity, empathy, patience, and an understanding that we did the best we could with what we had at the time. That being said, she has been known to advise clients that counseling can sometimes feel like a kid pushing all of the buttons on an elevator; she is open to guidance as to which buttons are ok to push today and which ones you might need to wait a bit longer on.

During her time as a treatment provider, Lindsay has found that understanding the biological mechanisms of mental health can normalize a person’s experience and so can also bring an element of psychoeducation to her clients.  She works tirelessly as an advocate for her clients, showing up for them in a multitude of ways.  First and forever, Lindsay shows up as a fellow human, navigating this fantastical life with humor and grace.  Former clients have described Lindsay as genuine, supportive, insightful, thoughtful, realistic, grounded, encouraging, and dedicated.

Lindsay recognizes her role is to join you on your journey and would be honored to be a part of it.  As with most journeys, pathways shift as awareness is gained and so Lindsay brings a flexible and interactive approach to sessions and treatment.

Additionally, a focus of Lindsay’s professional passion is providing supervision to interns and post-graduate clinicians.

When not working, Lindsay identifies as being a multi-faceted and enthusiastically flawed individual.  An experiential person at heart, she can often be found living at the edge of her comfort zone.  These opportunities need not be big, for her to find them fascinating.  It is a continual process for Lindsay to harness her anxiety, in an effort to lean into exhilaration.  She is a lover and seeker of soft, fuzzy, 4-legged creatures; hot springs; dramatic plants; desserts; and connection.
