About

Koi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado who works with individuals, couples, and families navigating emotional, relational, and behavioral challenges. He supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, complex trauma, compulsive behaviors, relationship conflict, and major life transitions.

Koi’s work centers on helping individuals develop a deeper understanding of themselves, strengthen emotional regulation, and create meaningful, lasting change. He often works with clients who feel stuck in painful patterns that no longer serve them—whether in relationships, compulsive behaviors, emotional overwhelm, or a sense of disconnection from themselves.

His approach is grounded in the belief that healing begins with awareness. He helps clients slow down, make sense of their internal experiences, and build the skills needed to respond rather than react to life’s challenges. His work emphasizes strengthening self-regulation, increasing psychological flexibility, and supporting clients in aligning their actions with their core values.

His work is informed by neurobiology, attachment theory, and systems thinking, and he integrates evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Koi values both insight and action, with an emphasis on translating awareness into meaningful, real-world change.

Koi welcomes conversations around spirituality and faith as part of the therapeutic process. For clients who value their relationship with God or are exploring their spiritual identity, he offers a space to reflect, process, and grow in a way that aligns with their personal beliefs. He is respectful, non-prescriptive, and guided by each client’s values and spiritual journey.

Clients often describe Koi as genuine, grounded, and easy to talk to. He brings a consistent, nonjudgmental presence while helping clients stay focused, accountable, and engaged in the changes they want to make in their lives.

Outside of his work, Koi values staying active and connected to the things that bring him energy and balance. He enjoys sports, coaching, golf, mountain biking, and fishing—activities that help him stay grounded and present.

He believes in the importance of pursuing personal goals, developing individual strengths, and making space for growth both in and outside of therapy. Koi holds that life—and relationships—offer an abundance of opportunities for change, connection, meaning, and satisfaction, and that therapy can be a space to help clients fully engage in those possibilities.
