About
DaShelle completed her graduate training at South University where she received a degree in Clinical Mental Health counseling. She has spent the past several years serving in a variety of different settings ranging from working with children and families impacted by Domestic violence, the prison setting and drug and alcohol addiction treatment. She has seen time after time in the lives of her clients that positive change is possible despite experiencing unfortunate, traumatic, negative life events.
DaShelle believes that supporting her clients in feeling validated and gaining insight into the challenges they have been facing is essential to healing. She provides psychoeducation, CBT, supportive reflection and mindfulness practices. She hopes each of her clients will gain understanding, empowerment and an unwavering belief that their pain or past trauma does not define them. DaShelle aims to assist clients in getting "unstuck" and supporting each individual in doing the work to experience positive change.
DaShelle has always worked in private practice settings since becoming a licensed professional counselor as she knows from personal experience that there is power in sitting one on one with individuals who initiate engaging in therapy hoping to better themselves and end the cycle of engaging in unhealthy behaviors or negative thinking patterns and beliefs. DaShelle acknowledges that creating new habits can be difficult but supports clients in learning and seeing that they are capable and worthy of becoming the best version of themselves!
DaShelle is committed to living a balanced, fun and exciting life. When she's not working she can be found outdoors going on hikes or walks and exploring with her family. Don’t let her gentle and calm demeanor fool you, DaShelle also enjoys attending hot yoga class, swimming, traveling and dancing.
