Carla Lopez, LPCC
Carla Lopez is our child and family Art Therapist. She is the newest member of our team, brought on to support family and children of our female clients. Carla's family support allows us to work as a team to support the families we work with in a holistic manner. Carla is kind hearted, always sees the positive in a situation, and dedicated to healing. Carla moved from France at age 14 and has found her home in Colorado.
Carla works with children age 8+, teens and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is passionate about working with families as well. She incorporates Art Therapy into her sessions with children and families.
Carla has most recently worked with clients of all ages in inpatient and outpatient programs where she found her passion for helping youth and families. She practices art therapy with clients of all abilities and art making comfort levels and is constantly amazed by the potential of using art materials as alternative tools for expression. Carla focuses on helping clients to find and build their existing strengths. She is currently licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC.0015778) and holds a Provisional Art Therapy Registration (ATR-P #17-448).
